Iphone Zimbra Sync
I need help to sync work email on iPhone!?
I currently have a work email with zimbra through homestead.com. I do not know how to add this email through the settings in my iPhone. It keeps telling me that the email cannot be verified. I do not know the incoming mail server host name (mail.example.com) or the outgoing mail server (smtp.example.com).
Can someone please walk me through it? Perhaps maybe help me find those two missing components? Thanks so much!
If you have an IT guy (or girl) you may need to ask them to find out your server name…
Say for instance your email address is johndoe@email.com, your incoming mail server should be: mail.email.com and your outgoing server would be smtp.email.com.
Certain email accounts are simply not compatible with the iPhone though, so that could be a possibility. In that case I recommend setting up a gmail account, and having your homestead email forwarded to your gmail account, solely for use on your iPhone.
Also, if you haven’t tried stopping by your local Apple store, usually the Specialists there can help you out.
