Iphone Zelda Game

The Word Joystick Says it All
It’s a quiz that only lasts 60 seconds yet has the best of them calling time out. The IT IQ 60 second quiz, hosted by specialist Australian IT job board Jobspeed, has got the questions to make the savviest IT geek crumble. It’s multi-choice heaven with questions ranging from “What is Bill Gates middle name?” to “What MS-DOS command can display hidden files?”
The quiz is accumulated over several weeks with the top 10 players having their names emblazoned on a ‘Wall of Fame’. The end result is winning prizes (and a few IQ brownie points with mates). The first edition of the quiz had prizes like iPhones & iPods, which are great, but the latest array of prizes will bring a tear to almost any geeks eye.
Let’s start with the Atari 2600, complete with instruction manual, all leads, 2 x Atari joysticks, 2 x sets of Atari Paddle joysticks, 2 x Spectravision joysticks, 2 x Keyboard Controllers, an Atari Video Touch Pad plus the following 24 games, all with instruction manuals: WARLORDS, BERZERK, SPACE INVADERS, YARS’ REVENGE, CONCENTRATION, VIDEO OLYMPICS, NIGHT DRIVER, CODE BREAKER, VIDEO CHESS, PAC-MAN, 3-D TIC TAC TOE, ASTEROIDS, SLOT RACERS, BRAIN GAMES, AIR SEA BATTLE, VIDEO CHECKERS, COMBAT, PITFALL, GALAXIAN, CROSS FORCE, GANGSTER ALLEY, MASTER BUILDER, CHINA SYNDROME and PLANET PATROL. OMG! I’m getting all misty just writing all these titles. The memories… (I still remember loading SABRE WOLF into the cassette player of my Commodore 64, waiting 10-15 minutes for the game to load, then pressing the left and right arrows frantically to move while whacking the space bar to swing the sword around – great times.) And that’s just one of the prizes, let’s continue with the dual screen Donkey Kong… in orange, 2 vintage Sony Walkmans and a Nintendo Zelda multi-screen. At 32, I’m feeling exceptionally old at the moment, but in a good nostalgic way. I love the fact technology has made these items ‘retro’, and that kids nowadays will never know how much fun we had with these prehistoric toys. I mean, the word joystick says it all.
Have a go at the quiz and, while you’re there, try and win one of these retro prizes. They make it easy for you to stay in the prize hunt if you’ve missed a few weeks as you can go back and play the previous quizzes. There are no excuses. Have a laugh, test your IQ, play an Atari 2600 – you know you want to.
